Cochrane to St. Scholastica
Dustin Cordeiro is taking his scoring touch from the Cochrane Crunch of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League to the St. Scholastica College Saints, a Division 3, National Collegiate Athletic Association program that is based in Duluth, Minnesota.
Cordeiro, a 1995 birth-year forward, finished fourth in the NOJHL in scoring in 2015-2016 with 86 points from 39 goals and 47 assists.
“We as an organization couldn’t be prouder of Dusty,” said Cochrane president-general manager-coach Ryan Leonard. “Dusty was and is the heart and soul of our program and we have some big shoes to fill. We wish him nothing but the best at the next stage in what we call life and college.”
