The top team in the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League has bolstered its blue line. Sudbury Cubs have added 2005 birth year defenseman Justin Seguin from the Caledon Admirals of the Ontario Jr. Hockey League in a cash exchange.

It is a return to the NOJHL for the 6-foot-3 Seguin, who played for the Espanola Paper Kings in 2022-2023 and produced four goals, 10 assists, 14 points in 42 games.

Cubs general Dave Clancy finalized the trade to bring Seguin to Sudbury

“We tried to acquire Justin in the off season but he was moved to Caledon,” Clancy relayed.  “We jumped at the chance to bring him back up north to Sudbury.  He is a big strapping right-shot defenceman who will add experience and depth to our blue line.”
