First place Sudbury Cubs and fourth seed Espanola Paper Kings have confirmed the dates for the opening round, Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League playoff series between the West Division foes.

This an interesting match up for a first round. Espanola won four games in Sudbury on the big ice surface but could not win against the Cubs at home on a smaller ice surface.
Both teams will be playing on smaller ice surfaces which could mean a little more close checking than either team was able to do at Countryside Arena.
