Cubs are bearing down

Sudbury Cubs of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have climbed back on even ground following a cold snap.

The Cubs scored back to back wins over the top two seeds in the West Division of the NOJHL this week.

First, Sudbury scored a 4-1 home ice decision over the Michigan Soo Eagles before stealing a come from behind, 4-3 road triumph over the Soo Thunderbirds. Sudbury has thus returned to the .500 level with a record of 9-9-0.

Notably, Cubs rookie sensation forward Billy Biedermann scored goals in each of the two Sudbury wins this week. With a 2005 birth date and hailing from Little Current, Ontario, Biedermann now has nine goals on the season.

Next up for the Cubs is a home game on Thursday, November 4 at 7:00 p.m. at Countryside Arena against the Espanola Express.
