Cubs, Jacks in command
No. 1 seed Sudbury Cubs and no. 2 seed Hearst Lumberjacks are both one win away from advancing to the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League championship series.

Sudbury has a commanding three games to none lead on the sixth seed Soo Thunderbirds going into Game 4 tonight in Sault Ste. Marie. Regular season scoring leader Lucas Signoretti has carried his productivity into the playoffs for Sudbury with a league leading 10 goals, 12 assists, 22 points in seven games for the undefeated Cubs.
Meanwhile, Hearst has a 3-1 series lead over the no. 4 seed Timmins Rock. Timmins will need to win on the road in Hearst on Friday to extend the best of seven series to a sixth game.
