Cubs lead the NOJHL pack
Four wins in as many outings have the Sudbury Cubs off to a perfect start to the 2023-2024 Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League regular season.
The Cubs have home-ice victories over the Hearst Lumberjacks, Timmins Rock and Soo Eagles and a road triumph over the Powassan Voodoos to account for their 4-0-0 record to date.
Sudbury has another home game this Thursday, which is slated as a 7:00 p.m. start at Countryside Arena against the French River Rapids.
Oliver Smith tops the Sudbury scoring chart with five goals, six assists, 11 points. Next up are fellow forwards Nolan Newton with 3-7-10 totals and Marshall McCharles with 4-3-7 numbers.
Between the pipes, Noah Metivier has a record of 3-0-0 with a 2.92 goals against average and .919 save percentage.
