Sudbury Cubs stay alive
The series will play on. Sudbury Cubs have extended their semi-final playoff showdown with the Soo Eagles by way of a clutch road victory.
Pierson Sobush tallied twice to spark the Cubs to a 5-2 triumph over the Eagles tonight in Game 5 of their Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League West Division playoff set.
The Cubs now trail the series 3-2 going into Game 6, which is slated for Friday at 7 p.m. at Countryside Sports Complex in Sudbury.
The winner of the series will play the Soo Thunderbirds in the West Division finals.
