Seasoned defenceman David Radke is the lone skater from the regular-season champion Soo Thunderbirds to be recognized as a Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League all-star for the 2014-2015 season.

Radke, a 1994 birth-year blueliner from Orinda, California, was selected to the NOJHL’s second all-star team.

The top-scoring defenceman on the Thunderbirds, Radke has reportedly drawn interest from a Division 1, National Collegiate Athletic Association school for next season.

Meanwhile, Thunderbirds coach Jordan Smith and general manager Kevin Cain were named to the NOJHL’s first all-star team.

What you think about “David Radke, Thunderbird all-star”

  1. The Blind River Beavers played their final regular season game tonight and lost. They finished the 52 game season with 52 losses……and now prepare for the playoffs.

  2. Don’t you think Nathan Hewitt should have won coach of the year?
He started from scratch and challenged an establish, well stocked Thunderbird organization right down to the wire. The season series was 5-5.

  3. What’s going on with Mattawa? It’s the playoffs, they are home and they dress 9 skaters? Is that a typo on the game-sheet?
