Mark Savery has been a busy operator of late. The vice president of hockey operations for the new Elliot Lake Red Wings of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League has finalized a series of transactions.

Fresh from helping to oversee a tryout camp at Centennial Arena in Elliot Lake that drew about 70 participants, Savery confirmed to Hockey News North the acquisition of four seasoned junior B hockey veterans.

Forwards Aidan Leblanc and Matthew Shulist and defenseman Ethan Mercer were all obtained from teams in the Greater Ontario Jr. Hockey League. And defenseman Jace Simington-Lesanko is heading to Elliot Lake from the Vancouver Island Jr. Hockey League.

Leblanc and Shulist were both born in 2003 while Mercer and Simington-Lesanko have 2002 birth dates.
