Disano regaining net form
It has been a recent return to the fine form that he showed as a rookie for Blind River Beavers goalie Gavin Disano.
Disano, who has a 2003 birth date, got off to a rocky start to the 2021-2022 Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League season for Blind River with statistics that were unimpressive for a goalie of his stature.
But the medium size puck stopper has stood tall over his last three starts for the Beavers and has posted a 2-0-1 record with a 2.97 goals against average and .936 save percentage during that span.
In all, Disano has a 3-3-2 record, 3.66 goals against average and .912 save percentage on a Blind River team that has a record of 8-6-2 and is in second place contention in the West Division of the NOJHL.
As a rookie standout for Blind River during the abbreviated 2021-2022 NOJHL season, Disano had a 6-4-1 record on a Beavers team that finished with a 9-11-1 mark in 21 games.
A Sault Ste. Marie product, Disano is known for his work ethic and good character in addition to his net ability.
