Eagles continue to Pullar together
Soo Eagles used the home ice of Pullar Stadium to continue their winning ways of late.
Before a Friday night crowd of more than 600, the Eagles skated past the Blind River Beavers 10-2.
It was the Eagles third straight win and fifth in their last seven outings and improved their record to 7-9-1, good for fourth place in the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League’s West Division.
Defenceman Alex DiBacco and forwards Brad Hofelich, Sam Rappaport and Roman Gaudet all had three-point outings for the Eagles. And recently-acquired forwards Reed Gregory and Gordie Helmuth both had their first two points as members of the Eagles.
For Gaudet, he now has 5 goals, 10 assists, 15 points in 9 games since being signed by the Eagles as a free agent.
The Eagles are back on home ice again tonight when they play host to the Elliot Lake Wildcats in a 7 p.m. match at the Pullar.
Elliot Lake is in second place in the NOJHL West with a record of 10-4-4.
Hats off to the Soo Fasthockey commentators, They did a terrific job! They are beauties. Not really much to take out of this one for Blind River. Small victories to note…Nice to see an offensive spark from DMen #24 Dajia and #15 Fedeski. A plus 2 for #9 Davis in the 10-2 loss.
