A talented tender from Timmins has signed with the new Elliot Lake Red Wings of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League, Hockey News North has confirmed.

Julien Lefebvre, a 6-foot, 160 pound goalie with a 2003 birth date, heads to Elliot Lake after guarding the net for the Cochrane Crunch of the NOJHL as a rookie backup during the abbreviated 2020-2021 season.

Lefebvre is one of three goalies who have been signed by Elliot Lake.

Prior to playing in the NOJHL for Cochrane last season, Lefebvre performed between the pipes for the under 18 Timmins Majors and the under 16 Thunder Bay Kings.

What you think about “EL inks northern goalie”

  1. Julien is an very talented young man who outplayed 16 goalies at the Wings tryout camp 2 weeks ago to win the open spot. All he needs is some playing time to show-off his on-ice skills. Wings have got themselves a good kid………but what do I know, I’m only his grandfather. Good luck to Julien and the Elliot Lake Red Wings during the upcoming NOJHL season.
