Led by coach Tom McCarthy, assistant coach Jason Rapcewicz and general manager Chad Clarke, the expansion Espanola Express of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League is looking for volunteer assistance.

“This is an opportunity for fans and supporters to become a part of the organization and have some ownership in the many successes to come,” said Clarke. “Hockey at this level requires over 25 volunteers to ensure every game goes smoothly without a hitch.

“Volunteers are a very integral part of every junior hockey club and are necessary in the success of the hockey team. We need our fans,” said Clarke.

Those willing to help out as volunteers for the Express are asked to contact Clarke via e-mail, gm@espanolaexpress.com.

The Express is also looking for community support as most of its players will be relocating to Espanola from out of town.

“Our players are ages 16-20 and require local families to open their homes up to these young men so they can have the opportunity to achieve their goals and dreams of playing hockey. If you are interested signing up to become a billet family, you can e-mail me at gm@espanolaexpress.com,” Clarke added.
