Espanola over Sudbury

Espanola Rivermen have taken a two games to none lead in their first-round, best-of-seven, Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League playoff series with Sudbury Nickel Barons.

In front of 563 fans at Espanola Regional Recreational Complex this afternoon, Rivermen forward Brad Edwards potted a goal and set up two others in a 5-2 triumph over the Nickel Barons.

Making his second straight start of the series, Marc Terriault made 30 saves to backstop the Espanola victory.

  1. Great job guys out skating the Barons and not
    getting caught up in the silly stuff. On a side note
    Sam hit Jarecki hard and wobbled him hope that
    Jarecki is not too badly hurt.
