Players and members of the Espanola Rivermen of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League recently took part in an Autism Acceptance event.

According to Rivermen general manager Randy Blake, the event was held to try to raise awareness and to help and accept people in the Espanola area — and elsewhere — who have or who are affected by autism.

  1. I am privileged to know some of these boys from when they were in North Bay. I have a son with Autism and I am thankful for them to be doing this for all us that live every day with our wonderful children (and adults) on the spectrum. Kudos, boys and thank you from all of us. xo
