Express delivers late in Espanola
One game does not a season make but one game could end up defining the season for the Espanola Express.
Playing at home on Wednesday, the expansion Express shrugged off a 4-1 third-period deficit and roared back to stun the Powassan Voodoos 5-4.
Considering that Powassan is third overall and Espanola is in tenth place in the 12-team Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League, the fact that the Express delivered a victory over the Voodoos ranks as a major upset.
With 50 points thus far this season, Powassan is a whopping 35 points ahead of Espanola.
The Express is now tied with the Blind River Beavers for the fifth-and-final playoff spot in the West Division. And considering that Espanola has three games in hand on Blind River, the dramatic victory over Powassan just may turn out to be the win that got the Express moving.

congratulations guys keep up the good work
It looked like the Voodoos had control of the game but when Callan was pulled and Labelle was put it the tide changed. A couple of big saves and the Express stormed back. Great game to watch, good job boys keep up the good work.
