Express route to Calvin College
Graduating forward Keenan Kennedy is moving on from the Espanola Express of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League.
Kennedy is headed to Grand Rapids, Michigan to play for the Calvin College Knights of the American Collegiate Hockey Association.
After hopping on the Express from the Maritime Jr. Hockey League midway through the 2015-2016 season, Kennedy potted 5 goals, 5 assists, 10 points in 29 games.
“Keenan is a great young man and speedy winger who came in to our team and immediately added grit and leadership,” noted Espanola co-coach Jason Rapcewicz.
In heading to Calvin College, Kennedy joins a team that won the Michigan College Hockey Conference title in ’15-16 with a 20-5-1 record, a mark that earned it a spot at the ACHA national playdowns.
