Soo Eagles have shrugged off an 0-2-0 start to the 2023-2024 season by putting together a 4-0-1 streak over their past five games. Thus, the Eagles take a record of 4-2-1 into this week’s Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League slate of games.

Included in the winning ways of late for the Eagles is a 5-4 overtime win over the arch-rival Soo Thunderbirds. In that game, the Eagles erased a 3-0 deficit to fly to the comeback victory over their Twin Soo foes.

Offensively, three members of the Eagles are among the NOJHL scoring leaders to date.

Jack Paweski leads the Eagles with four goals, seven assists, 11 points followed by Ben Pouliot with 2-7-9 totals and Kenny Belanger with eight points, including a team-leading five goals.
