French River signs young star
Given his hockey resume, Dacey Dupuis had no shortage of suitors looking to sign him ahead of the looming ’26-27 season. And it is the French River Rapids of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League who the electrifying 2010 birth year forward chose to sign with.
Paul Frustaglio, who is the general manager, head coach and capo of the French River outfit, confirmed the signing of Dupuis, a local lad who left home and starred with the Markham Majors of the Greater Toronto Hockey League last season.
Over the course of the ’25-26 campaign, Dupuis skated in 95 games for Markham as a small size forward and put up big numbers — 36 goals, 63 assists, 99 points.
