Hat trick Nic
December 20, 2014
Nic Tassone has become the first member of the Soo Thunderbirds to hit the 20-goal mark this 2014-2015 Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League season.
Tassone twirled the hat trick to spark the Thunderbirds to a 7-1 victory over the visiting Mattawa Blackhawks in NOJHL action on Friday at John Rhodes Community Centre.
Joey Miller, Nic Sicoly, Matt Pinder and Nathan Hebert also scored for the first-place Thunderbirds, who boosted their record to 22-4-3 with the triumph.
The Thunderbirds will close out the 2014 portion of the season on Sunday night when they play host to the Elliot Lake Wildcats in a 7:30 p.m. match at the Rhodes Centre.
What you think about “Hat trick Nic”
WOW Soo wins again last night, lots of blow outs across the league Friday crazy ! The Barons have had little to no luck with that Wildcats team this year, I think the season series is at like 7-1 for Elliot Lake they have dominated that series so far. should be a good game in the Soo Sunday night good luck to both squads ! Hey Crunch fans did Josh Moore Report To Your Team After The Trade That Sent Nelson our way and Moore your way ? thanks.
one comment from the tbirds game vs mattawa last night in the soo. Totally impressed with the effort and work ethic of the mattawa team. They could have folded much earlier but fought and skated hard to the end. As well their coach is also impressive working the bench as if the game was tied all night. I think this organization is headed in the right direction. They may lack the talent of some of the other teams but with that kind of effort good things lie ahead for this team. Thought it was worth mentioning and my sentiments were shared by others in attendance as well.
I felt Mattawa worked hard here on opening night against the Barons to ! I hope they can benefit from this hard work they are putting in to there game and gain a few more W’s in the second half of the season ! good luck fellas ! just not tomorrow though lol
