High scoring Sudbury Cubs
Sudbury Cubs not only have the best record in the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League at 10-1-0 but they have outscored their opponents by a margin of 67 to 28.
And their top five scorers are all northern Ontario products.
Nolan Newton (French River) leads the Sudbury scoring chart with 12 goals, 16 assists, 28 points. Up next are Oliver Smith (Lively) with 12-14-26 totals, Hudson Chitaroni (Sault Ste. Marie via Marathon) with 10-6-16 numbers, Marshall McCharles (North Bay) with 7-9-16 statistics and Cameron Shanks (Lively) with three goals, 13 assists, 16 points.
Both of the Cubs goalies are also northern boys — Noah Metivier (Sault Ste. Marie) and Noah Beaulne (Hammer.) Metivier has a record of 6-0-0 while Beaulne has a 4-1-0 mark.
