NOJHL spring tryout camps
Just call it the league that never sleeps. Teams in the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have already scheduled tryout camps well in advance of the 2016-2017 season.
HockeyNewsNorth.com has received the following tryout camp information from these NOJHL teams.
COCHRANE CRUNCH
The Crunch will be holding a spring skate in Cochrane this Wednesday (April 20) with registration at 5 p.m. The camp is an opportunity for area players to give the Crunch staff a chance to scout them up close.
There will be scrimmage from 5:30-7 p.m. followed by an information session and another scrimmage from 8:30-10 p.m.
ESPANOLA EXPRESS
The Express will be holding a tryout camp on May 7-8 at Countryside Arena in Sudbury at a cost of $150 for the weekend.
It will be the only open tryout camp that the Express will be holding in northern Ontario. The camp is open to Canadian and American players born in 1996-2000.

FRENCH RIVER RAPIDS
Tryouts for the Rapids will be held May 28-29 at Countryside Arena in Sudbury.

IROQUOIS FALLS ESKIS
The Eskis will head to North Bay to hold a tryout camp at Memorial Gardens on May 13-15. Cost is $150 per player.

RAYSIDE-BALFOUR CANADIANS
Under new ownership and mangement, the Canadians will hold their spring tryout camp on May 13-15 at Countryside Arena in Sudbury.

SOO EAGLES
The Eagles will hold an open tryout camp on the May 6-8 weekend at Big Bear Arena in the Michigan Soo.
Cost for the camp is $90 American or $110 Canadian and on-line registration is available via sooeagles.net.
The tryout camp is open to American and Canadian born players with 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000 birth dates.

SOO THUNDERBIRDS
Soo Thunderbirds will hold their 2016 spring tryout camp from May 13-15 at John Rhodes Community Centre.
The tryout is open to players born in 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997 and 1996.
Deadline to register is May 9. Cost for the tryout is $150.
