The process of putting together a new team ahead of the 2021-2022 season has landed the Elliot Lake Red Wings of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League a player from the Superior International Jr. Hockey League.

Hayden Cattani

Elliot Lake has acquired 2002 birth year forward Hayden Cattani from the Kam River Fighting Walleye of the SIJHL for future considerations.

The 5-foot-9, 170 pound Cattani played a handful of games for Kam River in what was a very short 2020-2021 SIJHL season. Before that, he skated for the under 18 Thunder Bay Kings.

Elliot Lake is returning to the NOJHL for the 2021-2022 season as the renamed Red Wings and under a new management and coaching staff. Previously known as the Wildcats, Elliot Lake was on leave of absence from the NOJHL in 2020-2021.
