Kam River via Elliot Lake
Elliot Lake Vikings of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League and Kam River Fighting Walleye of the Superior International Jr. Hockey League have finalized a player for cash transaction.
Heading to Kam River, which is in first place in the SIJHL, is 20-year old forward Ryan Daponte.
Daponte, who is a hulking power forward, was third on the Elliot Lake scoring chart at the time of the trade with five goals, 10 assists, 15 points in 23 games.
As Kam River leads the SIJHL standings, Elliot Lake is in last place in the West Division of the NOJHL.
