King of the Beaver pond
Forward Owen King has hit — and passed — the 40 goal mark for the Blind River Beavers of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League.

King, a 2006 birth year skater who came to Blind River ahead of the ’24-25 season from the Hamilton Kilty B’s of the Greater Ontario Jr. Hockey League, scored three goals today to spark the Beavers to a 6-2 win over the visiting Soo Thunderbirds.
Among the top scorers in the NOJHL, King now has 42 goals, 19 assists, 61 points in 42 games for the Beavers this season.
With today’s win, Blind River remains in a second place stare down with the Hearst Lumberjacks in the NOJHL standings.
