Forward Lucas Signoretti of the Espanola Paper Kings has passed the 40 goal mark as the regular season in the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League heads towards the March 17 finish line. And a number of others have either passed or are closing in on the 30 goal mark.

After scoring 39 goals in just 40 games for Espanola in 2022-2023, the 5-foot-6, 168 pound Signoretti has tallied 42 more times in 43 outings for the Paper Kings in 2023-2024.

Meanwhile, five other NOJHL’ers have scored 30 goals or more thus far this season. They are Oliver Smith of the Sudbury Cubs with 37, Tyler Patterson of the Hearst Lumberjacks with 35, Harry Clark of the Timmins Rock with 33, Owen Fergusson of Espanola with 32 and Mason Svarch of Timmins with 31.

Two others are closing in on 30 goals with 27 each — Jake Kovacs of the Blind River Beavers and Hudson Chitaroni of Sudbury. Both are products of the Sault Ste. Marie minor hockey system.
