Jake Marois made his Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League debut with the Espanola Paper Kings on the weekend and the 19-year old goalie was nothing short of sensational.

Marois stopped 74 of 78 shots for a 2.00 goals against average and .950 save percentage as Espanola won a pair of road games at Hearst and Cochrane to improve its record to 9-6-3 on the season. Marois was injured just before the start of this season after being acquired in a summer time trade with the Sudbury Cubs.

The 6 foot, 190 pound Marois, who is a Sudbury product, posted a 7-5-0 record with a 3.25 goals against average and .886 save percentage in 2021-2022 as the backup to since-graduated Cubs starter Joel Rainville.
