Mauro and Mauro
Oh brother. The Mauro boys from Sault Ste. Marie are putting on productive performances for their respective teams in the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League.
20-year old Justin Mauro has 12 goals, 22 assists, 34 points in 27 games for the Soo Thunderbirds. And 18-year old Devin Mauro has nine goals, 10 assists, 19 points in just eight games for the Espanola Paper Kings.
Both forwards started the 2022-2023 season elsewhere.
Justin went from the Markham Royals of the Ontario Jr. Hockey League to the Navan Grads of the Central Canada Hockey League before being acquired by the Thunderbirds. And Devin began the season as an Ontario Hockey League rookie with the Sudbury Wolves before being reassigned to Espanola early in the new year.
