The 6 foot, 190 pound Menard, who has a 2006 birth date, lit the lamp for Espanola to start the ’24-25 season before being dealt to Niagara Falls. In just 26 NOJHL games with the Paper Kings, Menard had 19 goals, 17 assists, 36 points.

Menard, who hails from the Ottawa area, will be the captain in Espanola, Paper Kings president and head coach Jason Rapcewicz confirmed to Hockey News North.

“These are very exciting times for us with Cameron coming back. He is well liked and will provide scoring, experience and leadership as our captain for the ’25-26 season,” relayed Rapcewicz.

Meanwhile, Paper Kings general manager Marc Gagnon also commented with positive tones on the return of the high scoring Menard.

“We are thrilled to have Cam back with us in Espanola,” Gagnon relayed to Hockey News North. “The return of Cam brings skill and experience and also invaluable leadership. Cam gained international experience with Team Canada East last year and we are looking for him to continue where he left off with us.”
