The reigning champions of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have added to their blue line brigade with the acquisition of a dependable defenseman from the Maritime Hockey League.

Ethan Albert, a 6-foot, 185 pound defender with a 2005 birth date, has been acquired by the Timmins Rock of the NOJHL from the Yarmouth Mariners of the MHL.

“Super excited to bring Ethan in … he is an exceptional young man first and foremost and his skill set will help add depth on our back end,” Timmins head coach and general manager Brandon Perry relayed to Hockey News North.

The Rock heads into NOJHL action this week in first place in the East Division of the NOJHL with a record of 18-9-2 and 38 points.
