Blind River Beavers of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have made a change between the pipes, adding a new goalie while releasing another.

Beavers coach-general manager Brad Barton told HockeyNewsNorth.com that he has brought in 1997 birth-year goalie Tyler Ryan and released 1996 birth-year backstop Max Barr.

Ryan played with Toronto-based Blyth Prep Academy in 2014-2015 and has seen action in the Maritime Hockey League thus far in 2015-2016.

Marty Miloslavich, who also has a 1997 birth date, will remain in Blind River and form a tandem with the newly-acquired Ryan, according to Barton.

“Our goaltending has not been strong enough,” said Barton, in explaining the move to bring in Ryan and release Barr. “We have been cutting down our shots on goal but we are still letting in way too many goals.”

Through 20 games this season, Blind River has a record of 3-16-1.
