Keaston Blais

He played two full seasons as a steady defender with the Timmins Majors of the Great North Midget Hockey League. And he suited up for 16 games as a rookie for the Cochrane Crunch during the abbreviated 2020-2021 Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League season.

With that behind him, 2002 birth year defenseman Keaston (Sticks) Blais now has his sights set on attending Sault College in the fall and playing for the hockey Cougars.

Hailing from the northeastern Ontario town of Iroquois Falls, Blais told Hockey News North that he will study electrical engineering at Sault College. In a touch of irony, his dad, Ron Blais, is a Sault College grad.

As for the hockey, young Blais brings a reputation as a hard-working player with a good sense for the game and a kid of good character.
