Rayside-Balfour Canadians of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have added dependable depth and experience to their roster with the acquisition of two 1995 birth-year skaters.

The Canadians have signed rugged, 6-foot-4, 200-pound defenceman Jayme Forslund and 5-foot-10, 175-pound forward Otis Goldman, general manager Keane Cronin has confirmed.

Both players have an extensive junior hockey background.

Forslund, who is a student at Laurentian University and is slated to play for the varsity Voyageurs next season, has played for the North Bay Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League, Orangeville of the Ontario Jr. Hockey League and Caledonia of the Greater Ontario Jr. Hockey League.

As for Goldman, he has prior junior hockey experience with Hamilton, Stouffville and Whitby of the OJHL. While with Hamilton, he was a teammate of current Rayside-Balfour forward Ryan Erickson.

The Canadians take a record of 8-7 into a Saturday night game with the visiting Timmins Rock. Game time is 7 p.m. at Chelmsford Arena.
