Nine straight for T-Birds
Hardworking forward Cole Delarosbil netted three goals and goalie Noah Zeppa made 20 saves as the Soo Thunderbirds continued their winning ways on Wednesday with a 6-2 verdict over the visiting Blind River Beavers.
The hat trick by Delarosbil (pictured above) doubled his goal output for the season. The 20-year old local product is in his third season in the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League, having played the previous two terms for the Espanola Express.
Winners of nine straight games, the victory by the Soo solidified its hold atop the NOJHL’s West Division. The Thunderbirds have a league best record of 29-5-5.
Blind River, meanwhile remains in a tussle for third place in the West with the Sudbury Cubs.
