NOJHL finals begin tonight
Soo Thunderbirds and Kirkland Lake Gold Miners will face off tonight in Game 1 of the best-of-seven, Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League championship series.
Game 2 will also be played here on Sunday night.
Game time both nights is 7:30 p.m. at the Essar Centre.
The Thunderbirds placed first during the regular season, just ahead of the second-place Gold Miners.
Thus far in the playoffs, the Soo has a record of 8-1 while Kirkland Lake has a perfect 8-0 mark.
