Four more more games were played on the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League’s first round playoff slate on Tuesday.

Espanola 3, Blind River 2. The upstart Paper Kings took a three games to one lead on the regular season champion Beavers. Lucas Signoretti, Kyle den Ouden and defenseman Spencer Horgan all had two point games and goalie Jake Marois continued his spectacular playoff play for the Paper Kings with 51 saves.

Sudbury 4, Soo 3. The visiting Cubs evened the best of seven series at 2-2 with a clutch win over the Thunderbirds. Sam Assinewai paced Sudbury with two goals.

Timmins 6, Iroquois Falls 3. Rookie goalie Dryden Riley, an Ontario Hockey League draft pick of the Erie Otters, made 24 saves as the Rock took a 3-0 series lead on the Storm.

Powassan 4, Hearst 3. Cameron Lemcke’s power play goal in overtime lifted the Voodoos to a 2-1 series lead over the Lumberjacks.
