NOJHL semi-final pairings
Final four. Best-of-seven semi-final playoff series are set to start this week in the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League.
In the East Division, it will be no. 1 seed Timmins Rock and no. 3 seed Powassan Voodoos lining up. In the West Division, no. 1 seed Sudbury Cubs and no. 3 seed Soo Thunderbirds will face off.
Timmins, Sudbury and the Soo all won their respective opening-round playoff series in five games. Timmins took the measure of the French River Rapids, Sudbury sidelined the Espanola Paper Kings and the Soo skated past the Blind River Beavers. As for Powassan, the Voodoos vanquished the Hearst Lumberjacks in six games.
What happened to winning because…..well they get more fans?
Hopefully Timmins will get some of their injured players back for the series.
