As the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League has confirmed a return from pause in play next week, it has announced a reduction in regular season games for all 12 teams.

Instead of 56 regular season games, NOJHL teams will each play 48. The regular season has been extended to March 28 from March 13 followed by the playoffs.

NOJHL teams have not seen regular season action since before Christmas as the holiday break was followed by a provincial government mandated pause in play relative to the Omicron variant of Covid-19.
