Already in good shape with a record of 13-7-2 — which has them in second place in the West Division of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League — Blind River Beavers have added a forward from the Notre Dame Hounds of the Saskatchewan Jr. Hockey League.

He is 5-foot-11, 175 pound Johnny Ramoundos. A 2002 birth year skater, Ramoundos had one goal, three assists, four points in 11 games for Notre Dame this season.

Beavers general manager and coach Kyle Brick took note of what Ramoundos figures to add to the Blind River lineup.

“We are excited to see his skill and speed in our lineup,” Brick told Hockey News North. “Ramoundos will provide some of the scoring touch we are looking for.”
