On to the NOJHL finals

And now there are two. It will be the Sudbury Cubs from the West Division and the Powassan Voodoos representing the East Division in the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League championship series.

Powassan began its playoff push by upending the Hearst Lumberjacks four games to one in the first round of the playoffs before punching its ticket to the title series by outlasting the reigning NOJHL champion Timmins Rock in the seventh and deciding match of that set.

Sudbury started the playoffs by sidelining the Soo Thunderbirds in six games before taking the measure of the Blind River Beavers in five.

Sudbury had 89 points during the regular season and Powassan had 75.
