RBC makes net exchange
Rayside Balfour Canadians of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have an opening for a goalie.

The first place team in the West Division of the NOJHL from the 2019-2020 season has dealt 2002 birth year goalie Nicholas Heinzle to the Nipawin Hawks of the Saskatchewan Jr. Hockey League in a cash exchange.
With Heinzle headed to the prairies, veteran David Bowen is now the only goalie on the Rayside roster.
Heinzle had an impressive season for Rayside in 2019-2020 with a 17-3-4 record, 2.81 goals against average and .913 save percentage.
But Bowen, who has a 2000 birth date, is clearly the main man for Rayside.
Between good stints in both the Ontario Hockey League and Quebec Major Jr. Hockey League in 2019-2020, Bowen was a sensation for Rayside with an 18-5-0 record, 2.65 goals against average and .924 save percentage.

One up and coming goalie who will get a chance to take over from Heinzle as Bowen’s understudy in Rayside is homegrown Chelmsford product Evan Nicholls.
Rayside general manager Jeff Forsyth has confirmed that he will be extending a training camp invitation to Nicholls.
The 6-foot-4, 220 pound Nicholls got into 1,078 minutes of action for the Timmins Majors of the Great North Midget Hockey League in 2019-2020 and had a 3.72 goals against average on a below .500 team.
With a 2003 birth date, Nicholls still has a season of midget eligibility remaining.
