Yet another 20-year old member of the reigning Superior International Jr. Hockey League champion Red Lake Miners is ticketed for the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League, Hockey News North has confirmed.

Elliot Lake Red Wings have acquired the rights to goalie Kiev Kineshanko, a 6-foot-1, 235 pound puck stopper who backstopped Red Lake to the SIJHL championship this past season. An Edmonton, Alberta product, Kineshanko had a 16-3-1 record with a 2.93 goals against average and .920 save percentage for Red Lake during the 2021-2022 regular season. He then had a 7-4-0 record, 2.92 goals against average and .913 save percentage as no. 2 seed Red Lake upended no. 3 seed Dryden Ice Dogs and no. 1 seed Kam River Fighting Walleye en route to winning the SIJHL playoff championship.

Kineshanko is poised to follow three of his former Red Lake teammates to the NOJHL for the 2022-2023 season. Earlier this off season, Red Lake traded forwards Brady Harroun and Ethan Pool and defenseman Kenyon Nyman to the Timmins Rock.
