Rock adds power forward
Reigning champion Timmins Rock of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League has added a power forward with the acquisition of Jack Kelly from the Cobourg Cougars of the Ontario Jr. Hockey League.
Kelly, who has a 2004 birth date, returns to the NOJHL after being a 20-goal scorer for the Powassan Voodoos over the course of the 2022-2023 season.
The addition of Kelly is another boost for Timmins in a trade orchestrated by Rock head coach and general manager Brandon Perry.
“We are happy to acquire Jack, he is a big power forward type player with a great shot,” Perry relayed of Hockey News North. “He should compliment our forward group nicely … I can’t wait to see him wear the maroon and gold.”
The Rock heads into NOJHL action this week in first place in the East Division of the NOJHL with a record of 18-9-2 and 38 points.
