Points wise, Timmins Rock trails both the Hearst Lumberjacks and Powassan Voodoos atop the East Division standings of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League. But with games in hand on Hearst and Powassan, Timmins has 53 points from a record of 25-5-3 for what is a league best winning percentage of .803.

Despite playing with a shortened bench on the weekend, Timmins was able to leave Sault Ste. Marie with three of a possible four points. Coach Brandon Perry and his Rock band stole a 5-4 overtime win from the Michigan Soo Eagles before gaining a hard fought point from a 3-2 OT loss to the Soo Thunderbirds.

A gruelling schedule still awaits Timmins.

Including a 3 p.m. Family Day Monday matinee home match against the Sudbury Cubs at McIntyre Arena, the Rock will conclude the abbreviated 2021-2022 regular season schedule with 15 games in 35 days.
