Rock atop NOJHL block
Timmins Rock is the only team among the 12 of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League to have a perfect record through the first couple of weeks of the ’24-25 regular season.
The Rock has four wins in as many outings to lead the NOJHL pack. Impressively, three of the four wins have been road victories.
Brant Romaniuk, a 2007 birth year forward, has paced Timmins through the four triumphs with six goals, two assists, eight points. As a team, Timmins has outscored its opponents by a 25-7 margin in the four victories.
Trailing Timmins in the standings in the early going are three teams with six points apiece — Blind River Beavers (3-1-0), Hearst Lumberjacks (3-1-0) and Sudbury Cubs (2-1-2.)
