Rock star coach extended
Good guy Brandon Perry has signed a new three year contract extension to remain with the Timmins Rock of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League for the foreseeable future.

To be sure, Perry, who turns 36 years old later this month, has been a driving force behind the ongoing success of the Timmins franchise, leading the Rock to the league championship for the ’22-23 season and fostering an undeniable winning culture both on and off the ice.
A homegrown Timmins product, Perry’s leadership, player development, and commitment to excellence have solidified his role as a key figure in the organization’s continued growth, according to Rock president Ted Gooch.
“We are thrilled to have Brandon remain as our head coach” relayed Gooch, who is regarded as one of the top executives in the NOJHL. “His dedication to our program and his ability to get the best out of our players have been instrumental to our success. We believe Brandon is the right leader to guide us toward even greater accomplishments.”
Since taking over as head coach, Perry has consistently pushed the team to perform at a high level, emphasizing hard work, discipline, and team togetherness.

“Brandon has proven time and time again that he is not just a great coach, but also a tremendous ambassador for our organization,” Gooch gushed in further praise of Perry. “His commitment to player development and his ability to inspire our team have been key to our success. We are excited to see where he takes this group in the future.”
With Perry’s extension, Gooch noted that the Rock remains well positioned to remain a competitive force in the league as it aims for another championship run.
