Espanola Paper Kings of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have conformed that graduating forward Jack Anderson will attend Oakland University in the Metro Detroit suburb of Rochester effective the ’25-26 season.

Oakland University Golden Grizzlies are members of the Division 1, American Collegiate Hockey Association.
Anderson, who is a 5 foot 11, 175 pound skater, finished second on the Espanola scoring chart during the ’24-25 NOJHL season with 19 goals, 26 assists, 45 points. He arrived in Espanola in 2024 following an NOJHL trade with the Timmins Rock.
“Having the opportunity to play for (Timmins and Espanola) in the NOJHL for the past two seasons was an exceptional experience,” offered Anderson. “I credit the development I made on and off the ice to the strong relationships I made with my teammates, coaches, billets and staff. After playing in the NOJHL I feel confident and excited to continue on in college.”
Espanola general manager Marc Gagnon noted “Jack worked very hard during his time with the Paper Kings. He was a leader on and off the ice. We wish him continued success at the next level.”
