The winning continues for the Soo Thunderbirds.
It’s now a six-game winning streak for the Thunderbirds, who edged the visiting Abitibi Eskimos 5-4 in overtime on Friday at John Rhodes Community Centre.
With the latest triumph, the Thunderbirds improve their Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League record to 8-2.
Defenceman David Radke, who recently returned to the Thunderbirds from the Janesville Jets of the North American Hockey League, netted the game winner for the Soo.
Next action for the Thunderbirds is on Wednesday, October 15 when they travel to Blind River to take on the Beavers in Game 4 of the Carmen Provenzano Memorial Cup series between the two teams.
The T-Birds lead the season series 3-0.
