Parity has been evident in the early going of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League schedule.

The NOJHL is six games into the 2020-2021 regular season and four of the contests have been decided in the shootout.

Not only that, the league has been free from any positive cases relative to COVID-19.

As far as the four games that have already gone to shootout, French River Rapids upended Espanola Express by 6-5 and 5-4 scores while Hearst Lumberjacks clipped Cochrane Crunch 4-3 and Timmins Rock outlasted Rayside Balfour Canadians in a 2-1 decision.

Nine more games are on the slate for this weekend including three tonight: French River is at Espanola, Cochrane travels to Hearst and Soo Thunderbirds are home to Blind River Beavers as both of those teams see their first action of the regular season.
