Soo Eagles nip Wisconsin
A back-and-forth contest eventually favoured the Soo Eagles of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League in an exhibition match with the visiting Wisconsin Lumberjacks of the Superior International Jr. Hockey League on Friday night in the Michigan Soo.
And it was a goal by Seth Ferguson midway through the third period that lifted the Eagles to a 4-3 triumph over Wisconsin.
Shots on goal favoured the Eagles by a 45-35 margin.
The two teams will wrap-up their inter-league set this afternoon in a 3 p.m. start at Pullar Stadium. The game can be viewed on HockeyTV.com.
